Brief Description
2000 Sydney Paralympic Games relay torch. A long, curved, horn-like torch, larger at top than at base. It is made entirely from metal, except for a black plastic hinge at the base, which opens the casing of the torch to reveal the ignition mechanism. The main body part is metallic blue in colour, but along the back, is attached a smaller, similarly shaped silver component, with and even smaller metallic red coloured component on the back of that. Adhered to the upper section of the silver component is the Sydney Paralympics logo, with the inscription: 'PARALYMPIC/GAMES/SYDNEY 2000'. Along the length of one side of the metallic blue component, is the inscription, in silver: 'SYDNEY 2000 PARALYMPIC TORCH RELAY'.
