Brief Description
Full-length, profile caricature portrait of J T Tyldesley, English Test cricketer, in cricket whites and green cap, against a light green background. Tyldesley is clasping his hands in front of himself. His signature is reproduced across his lower legs, and the pseudonym of the artist Leslie 'Spy' Ward is printed above and to the right. Below the image l.l. 'Bemrose Dalziel Ltd., Watford & London', and in the centre is printed 'Forty-six centuries in eleven years'; above left 'VANITY FAIR Supplement'. Hinge-mounted on white foam board with cream window mount. Tyldesley was Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1902.
