Brief Description
First day cover envelope. This item features a series of four sporting stamps that have been adhered across the top of the envelope from the centre to the right. The first cover features two identical stamp marks. They read, "EAST MELBOURNE VIC 3002 / FIRST DAY OF ISSUE 8 MARCH 2005". This mark features an image of a stop watch in the centre. Near the left side are the details of the addressee. Handwritten in blue ink the address reads, "Mr Andrew Paterson / Melbourne Cricket Club / Yarra Park, Jolimont / P.O.Box 175 / EAST MELBOURNE / Victoria". Below this there is a printed inscription that reads, "SPORTS / Treasures".
