Brief Description
Sketch drawn on pale brown paper with black ink featuring a cartoon with decorative border. On reverse, signature of John Blackham in pencil. Image on front shows three figures standing one atop the other's shoulders up against a plank. A bird sits on top of the plank. Handwritten inscription along lower edge reads 'IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED'.
