Brief Description
Wooden travelling chest which belonged to W H Ponsford. Painted black, hinged lid of which the rim is reinforced with metal, as are the corners. Two bronze-coloured locks on the front, pointed ovals, sit either side of a flip-up closure. The inside is lined with tin and the top has painted text reading, "W. H. PONSFORD / MELBOURNE".
