Brief Description
Black ink and blue pencil cartoon by Wells. Cartoon consists of four pictures; the first is of a man jumping for joy, lifting his hat and saying, "Buttons and Bows!". On his bow tie is a caption, reads, "1949 F Season". A banner underneath reads, "It's On Again!". The next two pictures show the man becoming encased in a football, by the fourth he is a football with text inscribed across the ball, reads, "1949 F Season". A foot at the lower right corner of the page is about to kick the football. Signature of the artist in the lower RH corner. Cartoon is housed in wooden and gilt frame, with beige mountboard. Label on the back reads, "16/4/49 In to the 'Leather Jacket'".
