Object Detail

Brief Description
Oil painting on canvas showing four young boys dressed in red and white jerseys, white shorts, red and white socks and brown boots. The boy to the left is holding a football under one arm. In the background, a sports bag and shoes are positioned on the ground, and two jackets can be seen hanging from a hook. The wood frame is painted white and gold, with a sheet of perspex covering the work. At lower left of painting is the faint signature, "G. A. Thorley / 58". The title of this work is unknown. The subject, due to the team colours and large red "V", seems to be related to the Olinda Football Club, where the artist resided during the 1950s.
