Brief Description
Oil painting on canvas of former Melbourne Cricket Club President John Mitchell, by artist Paul Fitzgerald. He wears a navy blue suit, pale blue shirt and an MCC tie (navy blue tie with red and white diagonal stripes). He is seated in a wooden chair, holding a pair of reading glasses in one hand, in front of a window revealing light green foliage outside. The surrounding frame is painted gold and is constructed from wood with a raised composite edge. The plaque affixed to the lower edge of the mount reads, "JOHN MITCHELL / PRESIDENT 1992-1997 / Artist: Paul Fitzgerald".
