Brief Description
White cotton, short sleeved shirt with a collar and single button at the neck. Features a green and gold silk diagonal stripe stitched across the front and narrower stripes edging the cuffs. A coloured embroidered emblem comprising a black outline of a map of Australia, with the Australian coat-of-arms in the centre, features on the right side. A dark green, plastic number '5' has been sewn onto the back. The maker's label on the inside collar reads, "1956 AUSTRALIAN / OLYMPIC TEAM / OFFICIAL GARMENT / MADE BY / MELBOURNE SPORTS DEPOT", with the name "K. CLARKE" handwritten in black ink below.
