Brief Description
A letter - handwritten in ink - from Sir Donald Bradman to Peter Burge noting that he is sorry that Burge had declared himself unavailable for the 1964/65 Tour of the West Indies. Burge is congratulated by Bradman on "another good tour overseas and especially on your great hand at Leeds which paved the way for 'The Ashes' ". Burge scored 160 of Australia's 389 runs in the 1st Innings of the 3rd Test at Leeds. Australia won the match by 7 wickets, and the series 1-Nil with four matches drawn.
