Brief Description
Envelope issued with Melbourne Cricket Club membership medallion, number F 9980, for the season 1989/90. Envelope is small, rectangular, cream-coloured, and is open at the top. Inscription on front in portrait format, printed in brown ink, reads, "F 9980 / MELBOURNE / CRICKET CLUB / MEMBER'S BADGE / SEASON 1989/90 / SEASON ENDS 31ST AUGUST / 1990 / NOT TRANSFERABLE / Perfection Plate Holdings / Pty.Ltd. / 63 Hoddle Street, Richmond Vic 3121 / Phone (03) 417 1220 / See Over:". On reverse is an inscription in landscape format, in black ink, reads, "MEMBERS' MEDALLIONS / The enclosed Badge for Season 1989-90 is / issued with cord attached and must always / be worn by the Member when attending / functions held at the ground. / Members will not be admitted unless in / possession of Badge, which is not transferable / under any circumstances and any misuse / renders the Member liable to be dealt with / under Rule 58. / JOHN LILL, Secretary / By Order of the Committee".
