Brief Description
Black and white photograph, sepia toned in a beige coloured mount with brown linear edging, featuring a dinner given for the American Fleet Baseballers at Franitelli in Melbourne, 25 July 1925. Over 50 men including sailors, and officers, some formally dressed in dinner suits are gathered in a room with a clock on the back wall and an overhead fan. There is a man sitting in an armchair on the left. Inscription on the reverse, handwritten in black ink, "DINNER HELD IN HONOR (sic) OF AMERICAN FLEET BASEBALLERS/AT FRANITELLI COLLINS ST MELBOURNE JULY 25 - 1925"; printed at bottom right hand corner "Oxford Photos.....Melbourne".
