Brief Description
Melbourne Cricket Club membership medallion for the year 1978-79, of irregular square-shape, medallion number 8437, with blue rope-cord threaded through hole in top. Obverse features red, navy, white and gold enamel decoration on the gilt-coloured metal base: at top is featured a flattened MCC logo in gold lettering on a navy background; the middle gold band features the medallion number in white enamel; and the lower section features a large gold "F" on a white background next to the years "78-79" in gold on red background, with stripes at the corners in gold. Inscription embossed on reverse reads NOT TRANSFERABLE and the manufacturer's details beneath: WALLACE BISHOP.
