Brief Description
Pair of hand-made running shoes worn by Shirley Strickland at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, at which she won 2 gold medals in the 80m hurdles and as a member of the women's 4x100m relay team. The shoes are made of black Tasmanian wallaby leather with silver eyelets, white laces, 6 long sharp spikes under the toes, and a narrow sole.
