Brief Description
Directional arrow that forms part of a weather vane. This section contains a painted metal arrow in green and red that features a small cut out figure on top. The figure is also made from metal and is painted white. It depicts a lawn bowler. This directional arrow sits on a stem that is registered as M12473.1. There is a third part of the weather vane which is registered as M12473.3. This section contains a painted metal stem in green and red with three attached metal arms that are painted in white. There is a different metal letter on each arm which are painted in red. The letters on the arms read 'W', N' and , 'E'. There is a fourth arm with the letter 'S' which has become detached (see M12473.3). The wind direction arrow which sits upon the stem is registered as M12473.2. This weather vane dates from the c. mid to late 20th century and was probably located at the MCC Bowls Section bowling green at the MCG.
