Brief Description
Wooden cricket bat with sealed, spliced blade and twine bound handle. The toe of the bat is bound. Imprinted on the face is the maker's name, with SPECIALLY SELECTED BY C GRIMMETT (facsimile signature) AUSTRALIA XI. On the back, top left, is a faded handwritten signature reading C Grimmett, a facsimile signature of Grimmett's in the centre, and above to the right is printed in ink PIPER.
