Container for Parker's Dead-Black for Rifle Sights
Object Type
Domestic items/Container/Cylinder
Brief Description
Cylindrical wooden container. Originally had a lid which is now missing. On outside is a label, reading, in part, "Parker's / DEAD-BLACK / FOR / RIFLE / SIGHTS.". Container holds a glass bottle (with a rubber stopper/application brush) containing the powdery remnants of the originally liquid formula. 'Dead-Black' was used to clean rifle sights, which are the eyepieces shooters use to aim their shots.
