Brief Description
Enamel painted metallic logo of the Melbourne Cricket Club mounted onto wooden shield. Two ribbon devices below logo read: 'MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB/FOUNDED 1838'. Box which contained shield/plaque has makers details stamped on side and handwritten inscription on face of box reads: 'Jenna (sic.)/Please arrange to/hang the MCC plaque in the area/of the museum where all the plaques are/thanks/Peter French'.
