Brief Description
Bronze- coloured medal, "AUSTRALIAN WOMENS AMATEUR ATHLETIC UNION" debossed on obverse, around an A.W.A.A.A logo. The reverse features the six Australian state shields, around a central shield on which is engraved "2nd/ 100 Yds/ 1956". Presented to Shirley Strickland for second place in the 100 yds event at the Australian Amateur Athletic Championships, 1956.
