Brief Description
Large hand- tinted photograph in a pale brown windowmount, in a wooden frame with gold- painted plaster decorations. Photo is of Shirley Strickland dressed in a pale green jacket and skirt, and a maroon hat with feathers, holding her starting blocks, with an aeroplane in the background. Photo was taken on her return from the 1955 International Friendly Sports Meeting of Youth, in Warsaw. Reverse features 13 signatures, including the President of the Amateur Athletics Association.
