Brief Description
Large black and white photo- finish photograph of the finish of the 100m race in Warsaw, showing Shirley Strickland in the lead, left arm raised. Photograph is taken from above, with the competitors running towards the right. Bright lines run vertically down the front of the field, with the finish- line tape a blurry streak bending around Shirley Strickland. Time-indicator strips run along the lower edge of the photo. Handwritten on reverse in black ink is "1955/ Warsaw/ World Record/ Sprint". A small yellow dymo label with the number '21' has been stuck onto the top LH corner.
