Brief Description
Silver trowel with ivory handle. The trowel is engraved with a foliage design and text reading, "PRESENTED / By / THE MELBOURNE C.C. / to the / HONble THOMAS BENT / PREMIER OF VICTORIA / ON THE OCCASION OF HIS / LAYING THIS FOUNDATION STONE / OF THE NEW STAND / 12th FEBy 1906". A highly decorative neck joins the ivory handle, which has stylised carved leaves.
