Brief Description
Rectangular presentation case, with a cloth hinge, to house the gold medal won by Shirley Strickland at the second International Friendly Sports Meeting of Youth, 1955, for first place in the 100 metres. Case is red, with slightly rounded edges, and a gold "19 WARSZAWA 55" logo printed on the lid. Inside of lid is silken material with gold "II/ MIEDZYNARODOWE/ IGRZYSKA SPORTOWE/ MLODZIEZY" printing, base is a faded cushioned red felt bed.
