Brief Description
Gold medal awarded to Shirley Strickland for first place in the 100 metres at the 1955 second International Friendly Sports Meeting of Youth. "II MIEDZYNARODOWE IGRZYSKA SPORTOWE MLODZIEZY WARSZAWA" debossed on obverse, around an image of two men shaking hands, with a third man between them, his hands on their shoulders. '1955' underneath. The reverse features the inscription "I/ LEKKOATLETYKA/ 100M". A faded wide white ribbon with three thin blue stripes is attached to the medal by a small loop attached to a loop on the upper edge of the medal.
