Brief Description
A copy of the August 1955 edition of ALERT (black print on red background). The cover features a photograph of Shirley Strickland, seated, wearing a representative blazer and holding a pair of running spikes. A caption notes 'AUSTRALIA'S/SHIRLEY STRICKLAND/"I dislike smoking and drinking" '. The cover of this copy is not signed by Shirley Strickland (cf. 2003.3903.920).
