Brief Description
Used hockey ball that has been made from a white coloured rubber. Ball has been moulded in such a way as to replicate a leather ball that has been stitched. There is an inscription on the ball just below the imitation stitching that reads 'PAT. NO. 703675'. The ball was used in the first match involving the MCC Hockey Section - 2nd XI v Melbourne University Hockey Club, played at Royal Park in Parkville, Melbourne, on 15 April 1961.
