Brief Description
A medal awarded to Shirley Strickland for 2nd place in the 4 x 110 Yards Relay, at the Australian Championships in Western Australia in 1954. The obverse features the emblem and name of the "AUSTRALIAN WOMEN'S AMATEUR ATHLETICS UNION'. The reverse features the 6 State shields linked by a wreath, and the inscription '4 x 110 yds/Relay/2nd/Western Australia/47.0 secs/1.3.1954'. The edge of the medal is inscribed 'SHIRLEY STRICKLAND'.
