Brief Description
Small thick photo album, leather bound spine and corners, tan cover, black pages with spiderweb-patterned interleaving pages. A set of three pennants (German flag, Olympic Rings flag, and Charlottenburg September 21th(sic) 1952 flag) have been attached to the album by means of a string passed through the spine.
Beautifully presented album made by Dr. Stolze and family, a German doctor whose family Shirley was trying to assist in emigrating to Australia in 1952. All inscriptions have been neatly handwritten in white ink, around the borders of black and white photographs of Shirley Strickland, postcards of the Berlin area where Dr. Stolze and family live, and small newspaper clippings about Shirley. Dedicated "with kind regards/ to/ Shirley Strickland" from Dr. Stolze and family on the back inside cover, November 1952.
