Certificate awarded to E.J. Baster for his services to the game of baseball in the 1920s. The certificate is elaborately painted in green, pink, beige, grey and maroon with gold leaves around the edge. The text is handwritten in calligraphy script in black and red and the entwining initials of the Victorian Summer Baseball Association are set in an oval at the top. Inscriptions include, "A token of esteem; an appreciation of services rendered" and reference to "Your loyal work in the St. Kilda Baseball Club.....".
