Brief Description
Presentation ball that consists of a used cricket ball made from red leather. The front of the ball has a crest shaped metal plaque that has been engraved. The inscription reads, "PRESENTED TO / C.V.GRIMMETT / BY / N. S. W. / CRICKET ASSOCIATION / 5 WICKETS for 45 RUNS / 1ST INNINGS.5th. TEST / 1924-25". The opposite of the ball contains some stamp marks which are difficult to read. Ball contains four panels. The ball has been stitched across the centre with six rows of twine. The Fifth Test took place in Adelaide, South Australia.
