Brief Description
Bronze-coloured participant's medal presented to Shirley Strickland as a member of the Australian Olympic Team to Helsinki in 1952. 'HELSINKI 1952/ HELSINGFORS' debossed on obverse, above one debossed and one embossed image of two angular heads wearing wreaths, over a racetrack. The reverse features XV OLYMPIA debossed around the upper edge, and a set of Olympic Rings and two debossed figures holding small torches, one male, one female.
