Brief Description
Chromolithograph, full-length caricature portrait of Edward George "Teddy" Wynyard (cricketer) against a light grey background. Wynyard is poised to bat at the crease, facing the viewer with wicket behind, wearing white shirt with sleeves rolled up; white pants, shoes and pads, and a red, blue and yellow striped tie and blue cap with red and yellow emblem. His signature, E.G. WYNYARD, is reproduced at lower right of the image, below the pseudonym of the artist Francis C. "CG" Gould. Below the image, l.l., is the lithographer 'Vincent Brooks, Day & Son', in the centre is printed the name of the team for whom Wynyard was playing, "HAMPSHIRE"; top left VANITY FAIR and above right the date AUGUST 25th 1898. White window mount with moulded brown and gold wood frame.
