Brief Description
Ist Place Trophy awarded to Shirley Strickland in the Women's 220 Yards at the International Centennial Games in Canterbury, New Zealand. A silver, plastic shield is attached to a black, plastic mount with hinged stand. The shield features a central 'coin' surrounded by a wreath. It is inscribed CANTERBURY/1850 1950 (inside a smaller concentric circle)/NEW ZEALAND/CENTENARY. The honour bar, below, is engraved S.STRICKLAND/1st. 220 YARDS WOMEN.
