Brief Description
Sheet from a photograph album. Black and white photos both sides. Front page contains one photo, depicts Shirley Strickland and four athletes from New Zealand approaching the finish line of a race. This race is the final of the 80m hurdles event at the 1950 British Empire Games in Auckland. Shirley Strickland finished in first place, June Schoch (NZ) in second, and Janet Shackleton (NZ) in third. The reverse side has four photos, including one of Shirley (with bandaged left leg) and a male standing next to a railing; large expanse of water in background.
