On the reverse, a pencilled inscription reads, quote, '100 Yards Perth 29 Feb (sic. Jan)/S Strickland 2nd/Verna Johnson 1st/Fanny (illegible)'. Ink inscription in one corner 'Leederville/29-1-49'; in opposite corner 'D/C'. Pencilled numbers '4266' and a circled '12'. Ink stamp: 'DAILY NEWS COPYRIGHT ...'
