Brief Description
Women's running event: image of a falling athlete (2nd from right). Handwritten inscription on mount reads, "12/1/'79 Greetings Shirley / Happy Memories of about exactly / 30 years. We had great days. / Perhaps the Association has a [illegible: museum?] / Warmest Regards / [illegible] Meagher". Inscription at bottom right of photo reads, "M.J. BATEMAN". Inscription on reverse side reads, "29/1/49 Leederville oval / 1 Verna Johnson / 2 Shirley Strickland / 3 Fanny Blankers-Koen (fallen)" [sic. Robinson 3rd].
