Rectangular telegram, with COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA/ POSTMASTER- GENERAL'S DEPARTMENT letterhead, date stamped 3 Feb 1949, from Shirley Strickland to her father. Black typing on off-white paper, reads in part BLANKERS REFUSED RUN FANY (sic) HUNDRED OR AGAINST ME HURDLES. A newspaper article (2003.3903.404.2) has been pinned to the telegram.
