Rectangular telegram, with COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA/ POSTMASTER- GENERAL'S DEPARTMENT letterhead, date stamped 31 Jan 1949, from Arthur Postle to Dave Strickland. Black typing on off-white paper, reads in part PERMISSION GRANTED GLAD TO HAVE YOU COURIER MAIL TRYING TO/ SECURE ACCOMMODATION. A red URGENT label has been affixed to the top edge of the telegram. Handwritten inscriptions on reverse in pencil.
