Brief Description
Black and white photocopy, A4 size, of pages 12 and 13 of ATHLETICS WEEKLY magazine, April 3rd, 1976. Features a large photograph on page 13 of the disputed photo-finish in the Women's 200m final at the 1948 Olympics, showing Shirley Strickland (top) actually coming 3rd by 1/100th second, whereas she had been placed 4th at the time. Heading on page 12 reads OLYMPIC JUDGES ERRED IN 1948/ PHOTO FINISH REVEALS SHIRLEY STRICKLAND DEPRIVED OF MEDAL, followed by an article on how Shirley actually came 3rd, and why this evidence hadn't been used before. The heading on page 13 reads - AND HERE IS THE EVIDENCE.
