Brief Description
Presentation case, hinged, to house the bronze medal won by Shirley Strickland at the XIVth Olympiad in London, 1948, for third place in the 80 metres hurdles. Case is brown with black stippling, rounded edges, thin gold border and THE/ OLYMPIC GAMES/ LONDON/ 1948 embossed on the lid. Inside of lid is cushioned silken material, base is a stiff green felt bed with a depression for the medal.
