Brief Description
Black and white photograph of Shirley Strickland (athlete) crossing the finish line of a race in first place. She has just broken through the tape, wearing a white top and shorts with a double dark stripe, and dark shoes. All runners going towards the left. Coming second is a lady wearing the number 684, right near the edge is a third lady wearing the number 903. A purple OLYMPIC PHOTO ASSOCIATION, 1948 stamp is on the reverse, along with a handwritten listing of the placegetters, reads in part 100M HEATS, SAT JULY 31ST./ 668 S. STRICKLAND 12.4 (1)/ 665 S. DE PORTELO (ARGENTINA) 13.1 (3).
