Black and white photograph (sepia-coloured) of Fanny Blankers-Koen (athlete) crossing the finish line of a race, head to the side.The finish tape is visible just in front of her. She wears a white top, darker shorts, and dark shoes. Five other women are just behind her, including Shirley Strickland coming second, number 668. The other numbers are 685, 689, 674, and 698. A purple THE TIMES stamp is on the reverse.
