Brief Description
Black and white photograph showing the Australian Olympic team walking in straight lines onto the arena, the female competitors in white dresses, the men in light pants, dark blazers, and light hats. Of the women competitors, visible are Shirley Strickland, Betty McKinnon, and Joyce King, with Mrs Magee (chaperone), Judy Canty, Judy Davies, and June Maston. A purple OLYMPIC PHOTO ASSOCIATION, 1948 stamp is on the reverse, along with OPENING CEREMONY OLYMPIAD XIV 1948./ THURSDAY JULY 29TH handwritten in ink.
