Brief Description
Blown up photographic reproduction of a letter to the editor, originally on a page from the "Bell's Life In Victoria" periodical, dating to 10 July 1858. Written by T W Wills it is titled "WINTER PRACTICE". In this letter Wills proposes the initiation of a winter sport called "foot-ball" to keep off-season cricketers fit, and cricket grounds constantly in use. Wills is today regarded as a founder of modern Australian Rules Football.
