Brief Description
Loose black and white action photograph featuring three cricketers and a cricket umpire. Image shows Keith Rigg (cricketer) batting for Melbourne Cricket Club in the Victorian Cricket Association competition, season 1936/37. Just outside this image was Desmond Fothergill (cricketer) from the Northcote Cricket Club who had bowled to Rigg. The other two cricketers in view are unknown. The reverse of the photograph has a grey lead pencil inscription near the upper left corner, reads, "District Cricket / Semi-final / Rigg (Melb.) plays / Farthergill [sic] to leg". Below this is another inscription that reads '4' followed by 'White'. Near the lower right corner is a red and violet coloured stamp mark, reads, "BACK OF SPORTS / CRICKET / 30 MAR 1937".
