Brief Description
Multi-colour landscape oriented oil painting on canvas, celebrating the Collingwood Football Club defeating Essendon in the AFL Grand Final of 1990. The image shows the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with green grass oval in lower third, pavilion and crowd in middle third, and sky in upper. There are magpies dominating the sky, which display newspaper cut-out faces of Collingwood footballers. On the field are small black figures in the shape of aeroplanes, which have a red stripe across their centre. The title of the work is " A Better Win" and the artist is Stephen Krahe.
