Brief Description
A print of an painting. The painting depicts a cricket match being played on a large field, with trees and houses to one side. The fielders are wearing sailor suits and the batsmen, red jackets. Stuck on the back is a label reading "A CRICKET MATCH BETWEEN THE ROYAL NAVY AND THE ARMY AT PORTSMOUTH / attributed to H. Ladbrooke, circa 1840". It is framed in a wooden frame decorated with a crackled pattern and gold highlights, with no mat. Verso in pencil " QBD 2[Z?] 1972 / (F) "
