Brief Description
Colour oleograph print of a painting depicting a cricket match. Gentlemen in cricket whites and white caps, the batsmen in brown vests, play in the centre, while rows of gentlemen in top hats, dark jackets, and light pants stand around them, along the upper edge, and the right side of the painting. A man on a horse talks to a spectator at lower right, and a man in a suit lies in the lower left corner, his top hat over his face, sleeping. Gold painted frame, no mount or glass. A label on reverse identifies the work as no. 252 of 500 oleograph prints of the original painting.
