Brief Description
Large colourful painting depicting two portraits of cricketer Dennis Lillee against a dark blue background. The image on the left is a head-and- shoulders image of Lillee, and his hand can be seen holding a cricket ball. The image to the right is a full-length action shot of him having just bowled, the ball coming towards the viewer. Metal plaque on wooden frame reads, "DENNIS LILLEE / WESTERN AUSTRALIAN XI AND AUSTRALIAN XI / PRESENTED TO THE MELBOURNE CRICKET CLUB / BY T & G MUTUAL LIFE SOCIETY LIMITED - 1975". Signed by artist at centre-lower right CLINTON. Not framed with glass or plexiglass.
