Brief Description
Large paper document titled, "THE ORIGINAL RULES OF / AUSTRALIAN / FOOTBALL". Below the header, which is dark green, the paper has an off-white background with a tan coloured watermark of a football player taking a mark. Overlaying the watermark is a brief history of the development of the rules, five squares with handwriting (being a copy of the rules), and a brief biography of each of the 'ORIGINAL AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL COMMITTEE' members. In the lower left and right hand corners are commemorative gold medallions with an image of a footballer taking a mark over other players on the front, and the names of the original 1859 committee members on the back. No. 1 print of a series of 250. Surrounded by a cream coloured window mount and a wood frame with a gold recess.
